While the bar may appear inviting from the outside , what I experienced behind its entrance was appalling and beyond comprehension .

The floorboards were filthy, and a nauseating aroma of uncleaned spills and dirty bathrooms suffused the entire venue . Reeking of a mixture of urine , decay and illness . The main bar, which should be the main attraction of any pub, was littered with unwashed glassware and litter that looked like it had accumulated over weeks. The restroom was in even a more revolting state — backed up, with a cracked flush mechanism and surfaces marked in what I can only assume was human waste .
It wasn’t just a isolated occurrence either. Based on the experiences shared online and speaking with locals , it seems that the level of hygiene (or lack thereof) at Masterson’s is a long-standing issue . Many customers have reported witnessing insects darting across the serving surface and signs of rats in the basement .
